WARRANTY EXTENSIONWarranty Extension

With a warranty extension product, coverage can be extended in one-year increments for up to two additional years.

  • Extension is available only for purchases made before the warranty expires.
  • Extension costs are quoted separately and may vary by model.

  • Action taken and a reward given once the report is verified

Warranty Period

  • Coverage applies to all machine tools manufactured by WIA MACHINE TOOLS and purchased under contract through domestic direct sales offices or authorized dealers.
  • The warranty period starts on completion of installation. Periods for major items are as follows.

Warranty Exclusions

Even within the warranty period defined above, we accept no warranty liability in the following cases.

  1. General items required for normal equipment care Lubricating oil, cutting fluid, hydraulic oil, gear oil, filters, and other checks to be performed regularly per the inspection schedule
  2. Replacement of consumable parts required to run the machine Replacement and repair of consumables such as fuses, lamps, batteries and safety glass
  3. Sensory irregularities considered to have no effect on general quality or function Slight noise, vibration, odor, appearance, operating feel and the like
  4. Failures caused by the customer not observing the inspection and maintenance intervals or the usage instructions set out in the operation manual we provide
  5. Failures caused by repair outside our direct service network or authorized service centers, or by the customer's own repair, and defects induced in other parts by such prior repair
  6. Failures caused by not using our genuine parts, or cases where the defect cannot be verified because damaged parts were concealed
  7. Failures caused by using fluids other than those we specify (hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, gear oil), or by not observing replacement intervals or warranty conditions
  8. Defects caused by the customer's unauthorized modification, alteration or relocation after delivery (including transfer to a third party or export abroad without our consent)
  9. Failures resulting from repair delayed for reasons attributable to the customer, and failures caused by fire, accident or natural disaster
  10. Failures enlarged by neglect even though they could have been found and addressed during daily or periodic inspection (see the operation manual)
  11. Improper use differing from the methods stated in the operation manual, or overuse beyond the stated limits Failures attributable to severe machining, forced operation, exceeding the machining range, careless operation and the like
  12. Failures caused by the customer's utilities, such as power supply, foundation or pneumatics

Costs not directly related to equipment maintenance during warranty repair (tools, fixtures, downtime losses, taxes and public dues, and other incidental costs) are not borne by us.
